European Commission registers new protected geographical indication

31/07/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 31 July, the European Commission announced the registration of a new German protected geographical indication (PGI). The ‘Dithmarscher Gans’ is an ancient species of farm goose that was first bred around 150 years ago in a well-defined region between the Elbe and Eider rivers, in the Dithmarschen region of Germany.
