Number of EU workers unable to afford holiday is rising, according to European Trade Union Confederation

30/07/2024 (Agence Europe) – The number of workers in the European Union deprived of holidays has risen by more than two million between 2021 and 2022, according to a study by the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) published on 30 July and based on Eurostat data. “An estimated 39.7 million workers (15%) in 2022 could not afford a week’s holiday away from home, either in their own country or abroad – an increase of 14% on the 37.6 million in 2021”.
