EU releases €2.4 million to tackle flooding in Bangladesh, India and the Philippines

On Tuesday 30 July, the European Commission announced that it had approved funding of €2.4 million to help the people worst affected by the floods that have hit South Asia in recent days.

“The beginning of this year’s monsoon season is proving very hard for people in the north of Bangladesh, India and in the Philippines. The EU is stepping up its assistance to the most affected populations, so they can receive much needed-relief”, said the European Commissioner for Crisis...
