Council of European Union ratifies an amendment to EU-Mauritania fisheries protocol

On Monday 22 July, the Council of the European Union adopted, without debate, a regulation published in the Official Journal of the EU amending Regulation 2021/206 on the allocation of fishing opportunities under the Sustainable Fisheries Partnership Agreement between the European Union and the Islamic Republic of Mauritania (Fisheries Protocol 2021-2026).

The changes are technical in nature and involve a change in quotas for category 1 vessels fishing for crustaceans other than spiny...
