Member States’ discussion about regulation on child sexual abuse material shared online postponed until 31 May

24/05/23 (Agence Europe) – Contrary to what we wrote on 22 May (see EUROPE B13185A9), the Member States will not discuss the detection orders contained in the new regulation on the removal of child sexual abuse material from the Internet on 26 May, but on 31 May, as this item has been postponed for a second time. The European Commission had asked for time to provide arguments to Member States after the Legal Service of the EU Council questioned these detection orders in an opinion...
