EU sanctions ISIS-Mozambique and two of its leaders

24/04/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 24 April, the Council of the European Union included the Daech-affiliated ISIS-Mozambique group operating in the Cabo Delgado region of Mozambique, as well as two of its leaders, Tanzanian Abu Yasir Hassan and Mozambican Bonomade Machude Omar, on the European list of entities and persons sanctioned for terrorist activities and serious human rights violations.
