European Parliament resolution calls for enhanced dialogue and cooperation between European Union and Council of Europe

The own-initiative report on “Institutional relations between the European Union and the Council of Europe”, defended by Romanian MEP Loránt Vincze (EPP), was adopted in the plenary session of the European Parliament in Strasbourg on Tuesday 18 April (494 votes to 76 with 76 abstentions).

The resolution calls for enhanced political dialogue and cooperation between the two organisations, the rapporteur summarised when presenting his text on 17 April.
