Mircea Geoană reappointed until mid-October 2024 as Deputy Secretary General

31/03/2023 (Agence Europe) – NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has decided to extend Mircea Geoană’s term as deputy secretary general by one year, until mid-October 2024, “in recognition of his services to the Alliance”, NATO spokeswoman Oana Lungescu announced on Friday 31 March. “Mircea Geoană has been an outstanding deputy secretary general of NATO and a great support to me personally at a critical time for Euro-Atlantic security”, Mr Stoltenberg said in a statement,...
