31/03/2023 (Agence Europe) – Following the decision of the clearing house (CCP) ICE Clear Europe (ICEU) to stop clearing credit default swaps (CDS) from the end of October 2023, the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) called, on Thursday 30 March, on national supervisors to act “in a proportionate manner” to facilitate an orderly migration of these positions to other CCPs, in the EU or globally.
