Council of Europe warns of xenophobic political discourse and increasing stigmatisation of LGBTI people in Hungary

In a report on Hungary published on Thursday 9 March, the Council of Europe’s European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI) denounces an “increasingly xenophobic” political and public discourse, which “has taken on highly divisive and antagonistic overtones” against refugees, asylum seekers, migrants, Muslims and LGBTI persons.
