European Commission registers Grappa della Valle d’Aosta as a new protected name

03/03/2023 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission announced on Friday 3 March that it had approved Italy’s Grappa della Valle d’Aosta/Grappa de la Vallée d’Aoste in the EU register of protected geographical indications (PGI). Grappa della Valle d’Aosta is obtained exclusively from grapes produced and processed in the territory of the autonomous region of the Aosta Valley.
