Brexit, European Commission approves €118 million in Danish aid for fishery sector

24/02/2023 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission approved, on Friday 24 February, two Danish schemes totalling around €118 million to support the fishery, fish processing and wholesale sectors affected by the effects of the withdrawal of the UK from the EU. The aid for the fishery sector (€113 million) aims to compensate vessel owners for losses incurred due to the permanent reduction in fishing quotas.
