ERC delivers preliminary analysis of its 2023 call designed to support European researchers’ careers

After closing its call for applications for ‘Consolidator Grants 2023’ on 2 February, the European Research Council (ERC) published its initial analysis of the proposals submitted in this context.

The ERC notes a 4.1% decrease in proposals received during this call (2,130 proposals submitted) compared to the 2022 call (2,222 proposals submitted).

In addition, the ERC notes the percentage of women who submitted proposals is ever so slightly lower (35.7% in 2023 versus 36.6%...
