European Digital Identity Wallet, ‘Jerković’ report adopted by European Parliament committee

On Thursday 9 February, MEPs on the European Parliament’s Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE) voted in favour of the report by Romana Jerković (S&D, Croatian) on the future European Digital Identity Wallet (55 votes in favour, 8 against and 2 abstentions) (see EUROPE B13095A4). The MEPs also agreed to start inter-institutional negotiations. The text will be put to the vote at the European Parliament’s plenary session in March.
