Euro area inflation confirmed at 9.2% in December 2022

18/01/2023 (Agence Europe) – The annual inflation rate in the euro area stood at 9.2% in December 2022, compared with 10.1% in November, according to data published by the Statistical Office of the European Union (Eurostat) on Wednesday 18 January. In the EU it was 10.4% in December, compared with 11.1% in November. The lowest rates were observed in Spain (5.5%), Luxembourg (6.2%) and France (6.7%), while the highest rates were recorded in Hungary (25.0%), Latvia (20.7%) and Lithuania...
