Brussels, 16/01/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 16 January, the Executive Vice-President of the European Commission, Valdis Dombrovskis, and the Ukrainian Minister of Finance, Serhiy Marchenko, signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the €18 billion macrofinancial assistance package for the whole of 2023 that the EU agreed at the end of 2022 (see EUROPE B13082A2). A first payment of “€3 billion” will be made “later this week”, Mr Dombrovskis said on Twitter. (MB)
