Court of Justice of EU clarifies application of ‘right to erasure’

The operator of a search engine must dereference data contained in referenced content where the person requesting dereferencing proves that such information is manifestly inaccurate, the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) ruled on Thursday 8 December (Case C-460/20).
