Belgium criticises Italy’s “unilateral” decisions to suspend asylum transfers

06/12/2022 (Agence Europe) – Belgian Secretary of State Nicole de Moor criticised Italy’s decision on Tuesday 6 December to unilaterally suspend all ‘Dublin transfers’. This decision would mean that Rome would no longer readmit asylum seekers first registered in its country. “The country has officially announced this in a letter to the Member States participating in the Dublin Regulation”, which organises responsibilities between Member States, explained the Secretary of State....
