EU countries approve latest Czech compromise on Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive

The Member States’ ambassadors to the EU (Coreper II) approved, on Friday 25 November, the compromise on the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive, which EUROPE has detailed(see EUROPE B13070A4). 

The experts in the working group succeeded in convincing the ambassadors with their new definition of “chain of activities”. This term and its definition in the text does include the activities of a company’s upstream and downstream partners, but excludes the provision to end...
