Czech Presidency of EU Council wants to sound out Member States on future of vaccine procurement procedures at EU level

On 23 November, the Member States’ deputy ambassadors to the EU discussed a note from the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union ahead of the meeting of health ministers on 9 December.

The Presidency recalls the central role of the European Commission in the joint procurement of Covid-19 vaccines. It also reiterates the dissatisfaction of 10 Member States (Poland, Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Hungary, Romania, Slovenia and Slovakia) expressed in a letter...
