European Court of Human Rights warns Poland that extradition to China would expose applicant to inhuman treatment and torture

Brussels, 06/10/2022 (Agence Europe)In a judgment delivered on Thursday 6 October, the European Court of Human Rights said that it would be a serious violation of the Convention if Poland proceeded with the extradition of the applicant - Hung Tao Liu - to China, a procedure authorised in 2020 by the Polish courts, but denounced as early as 2018 by the Court and by the Commissioner for Human Rights.
