WHO and European Commission determined to stop monkeypox epidemic in Europe

The European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety, Stella Kyriakides, and WHO Regional Director for Europe, Dr Hans Henri P. Kluge, issued a joint statement on Tuesday 13 September at the 72nd session of the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Committee for Europe to reiterate their determination to prevent monkeypox from becoming an endemic disease in Europe.
