European Parliament approves six-month extension of EU-Mauritius fisheries protocol

13/09/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 13 September, the European Parliament gave its consent to the extension of the fisheries protocol signed between the EU and the Republic of Mauritius. The report by Izaskun Bilbao Barandica (Renew Europe, Spanish), which endorses the original proposal, was adopted with 555 votes in favour, 25 against and 40 abstentions.
