On Thursday 14 July, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, called on the Macedonian Parliament in Skopje to vote in favour of the French compromise on the dispute with Bulgaria.
An agreement by both countries would allow the opening of accession negotiations for Skopje.
