Regulation on methane emissions in energy sector, European Parliament sets timetable for its work

07/07/2022 (Agence Europe) – After several months of discussions, the European Parliament has finally decided to follow a joint committee procedure to address the proposal for an EU regulation on methane emissions in the energy sector, which was presented on 15 December 2021 (see EUROPE B12854A12). The European Parliament’s Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety (ENVI) and its Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE) will thus be the two committees...
