Revision of envelopes allocated to Member States under Next Generation EU recovery plan

On Thursday 30 June, the European Commission adjusted the distribution key for grants to Member States under the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF), the budgetary instrument at the heart of the Next Generation EU recovery plan.

The European Council agreement of 21 July 2021 provided for 70% of the budgetary allocation of the RRF to be distributed in 2021 and 2022 according to criteria such as population, national GDP and the evolution of unemployment over the period 2015-2019 (see...
