Euro area growth and employment up by 0.6% in first quarter

Seasonally adjusted GDP rose by 0.6% in the euro area and by 0.7% in the European Union in the first quarter of 2022, compared with the fourth quarter of 2021, according to the estimate published by the EU statistical office (Eurostat) on Wednesday 8 June.
