MEPs approve temporary full liberalisation of imports from Ukraine

MEPs on the European Parliament’s Committee on International Trade (INTA), on Monday 16 May, approved a report by Sandra Kalniete (EPP, Latvia) on the provisional suspension of tariffs on imports from Ukraine. This is a proposal presented by the European Commission on 27 April (see EUROPE B12940A3) and quickly adopted by MEPs. Parliament is due to vote on the text in plenary on 19 May.
