EU Council reaches political agreement on reform of European standardisation organisations

The Member States adopted their position, late on Friday 13 May, regarding the new requirements for European standardisation organisations (ESOs).

This revision proposal, presented in February by the European Commission(see EUROPE B12882A3), aims to ensure that the entire internal decision-making process concerning the development of European standards by the ESOs at the request of the European Commission is carried out exclusively by ESO representatives.
