EU condemns Sinai attack

09/05/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Sunday 8 May, the EU condemned the attack in the Sinai’s East Canal area which killed 11 members of the Egyptian army. The region is in the grip of a jihadist insurgency. “The European Union remains committed to its partnership with Egypt in the prevention and fight against terrorism”, the European External Action Service spokesperson said in a statement.(CG)
