The European Commission wishes to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the US on behalf of the EU “to foster beneficial synergies between EU and US energy cooperation programmes in sub-Saharan Africa”.
This Memorandum of Understanding, negotiated by the European Commission with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), was transmitted in draft form on 3 May to the delegations of the EU Member States for approval.
