European Committee of the Regions calls for end to kidnappings of Ukrainian mayors by Russian army

Brussels, 25/04/2022 (Agence Europe) – The European Committee of the Regions (CoR) is set to adopt a resolution at its plenary session on Wednesday 27 April urging Russia to stop the kidnapping of Ukrainian mayors as part of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. This resolution will be voted on following the intervention of several Ukrainian mayors from Kyiv, Lviv, Mariupol, Kharkiv and Melitopol, who will come to give an update on the situation on the ground.
