EU announces €21 million in aid for vulnerable populations in Philippines and Nepal

The European Commission announced on Friday 28 January the mobilisation of €21 million in humanitarian aid for vulnerable populations affected by armed conflict or natural disasters in the Philippines, other South East Asian countries, and Nepal.

The amount of €10 million is earmarked for families who lost their homes and livelihoods at the end of December 2021 due to Typhoon Rai in the Philippines.

€1.5 million will fund emergency aid for people affected by the protracted conflict...
