European Commission will propose on 22 December to make €18 billion a year available with three new EU own resources

The European Commission will propose on 22 December a ‘basket’ of three new EU own resources, the proceeds of which will help repay the €750 billion of financing for the EU’s Next Generation EU Economic Recovery Plan (see EUROPE B12854A1).

These new own resources are expected to generate a total of around €18 billion per year over the period 2023-2030.
