08/12/2021 (Agence Europe) – Lithuania successfully tested the coupling of its electricity grid with the European mainland system on Saturday, Lithuanian Energy Minister Dainius Kreivys said on Wednesday 8 December, according to Reuters news agency. While still connected to the Russian electricity grid, the three Baltic countries (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania) plan to decouple completely from it and fully synchronise their grids with the rest of the European Union via Poland by 2025.
