European Commission mobilises €1.5 billion for low-carbon technologies through Innovation Fund

26/10/2021 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 26 October, the European Commission launched the second call for projects under the ‘Innovation Fund’, a €1.5 billion programme to support low-carbon technology projects. With revenues provided by the EU’s Emissions Trading System (ETS), the fund will finance the latest technological breakthroughs in renewable energy, energy-intensive industries, energy storage and carbon capture, use and storage, the Commission said.
