Draft report on “SLAPPs” adopted by large majority in European Parliament committees

14/10/2021 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 14 October, the European Parliament's Committee on Civil Liberties (LIBE) and Committee on Legal Affairs (JURI) adopted the draft report on “Strategic Lawsuits against Public Participation” (SLAPPs) (see EUROPE B12811A19). The text, which was tabled by Tiemo Wölken (S&D, Germany) and Roberta Metsola (EPP, Malta), was approved by 63 votes to 9 with 10 abstentions.
