MEPs argue for need for 2022 budget to support pandemic recovery

On Monday 11 October MEPs on the European Parliament’s Committee on Budgets gave their reasons for proposing increased funding for Horizon Europe (research), Erasmus+, health, climate and humanitarian aid (see EUROPE B12800A21).

The MEPs endorsed (with 33 votes in favour, 2 against and 5 abstentions) the report by Karlo Ressler (EPP, Croatia) and Damian Boeselager (Greens/EFA, Germany) which accompanies the budgetary amendments on the EU's 2022 draft budget plan.
