EU and US launch new partnership to help vaccinate 70% of world’s population by 2022

At the UN (UNGA 76) on 22 September European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and US President Joe Biden announced a new partnership between the European Union and the United States to accelerate immunisation against Covid-19 to reach a global immunisation rate of 70% by the UN General Assembly of 2022(see EUROPE B12791A1).
