Council of Europe calls on Spain to reform criminal provisions on rebellion and sedition

23/06/2021 (Agence Europe) – The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) adopted on Monday 21 June (70 votes in favour, 28 against, 12 abstentions) a resolution that was tabled by Mr Boriss Cilevičs, calling on the Spanish authorities to reform the criminal law provisions on rebellion and sedition in order to avoid, inter alia, any “disproportionate” punishment.
