A third country can bring an action against EU sanctions affecting it, Court of Justice confirms

Venezuela has standing to challenge the provisions of EU law (Regulation 2017/2063 and Decisions 2018/1653 and 2018/1656) imposing restrictive measures on it, the EU Court of Justice confirmed in a judgment delivered on Tuesday 22 June (Case C-872/19). It referred the case to the EU General Court for a decision on the merits of the action for annulment.
