Dunja Mijatović calls for rejection of ban on discussions on sexual diversity and gender identity

On Monday 14 June, the Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights, Dunja Mijatović, called on Hungarian Parliamentarians to reject the proposal to ban the “portrayal and the promotion of gender identity different from sex at birth, the change of sex and homosexuality”.

“If adopted”, Dunja Mijatović added, “the broadly phrased amendments to the Child Protection Act, the Family Protection Act, the Act on Business Advertising Activity, the Media Act and the Public Education...
