Council of Europe sets out priorities on protection of journalists and impact of artificial intelligence on freedom of expression

Meeting in Nicosia on Thursday 10 and Friday 11 June, the ministers responsible for media and information society from the 47 member states of the Council of Europe adopted a final declaration and four resolutions defining the areas in which the organisation will focus its efforts to protect freedom of expression: digital technologies, safety of journalists, evolution of media and information, and impact of the pandemic on freedom of expression.
