Antonio Guterres invited to attend European Council on 24 June

04/06/2021 (Agence Europe) – European Council President Charles Michel will invite UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to attend the European Council on 24 June, Michel’s spokesperson Barend Leyts announced on Friday 4 June. This meeting will “strengthen EU-UN relations to deal with global challenges”. “Multilateralism, climate, human rights, peace, development and the post-Covid-19 global recovery will all be on the agenda”, said Leyts in a tweet.
