Josep Borrell assures Bah N’Daw of enhanced EU support in return for progress in transition and reform

In Mali, where he ended his tour of the Sahel on Saturday 24 April (see EUROPE B12704A24), the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, assured the transitional Malian authorities of “clear EU support for the civilian transition” and of the possibility of increased financial support in return for tangible progress in the democratic transition and structural reforms.
