European Union Member States, on Wednesday 14 April, gave the green light by a large majority to the European Commission’s proposal to re-authorise the use of non-ruminant proteins and processed animal protein from insects in poultry and pig feed (see EUROPE B12682A9).
Only two countries, France and Ireland, abstained from the vote, which was held under a written procedure.
