Almost 120 MEPs and various organisations call for no extension of scope of Renewable Energy Directive

A coalition of 117 MEPs from the European Parliament’s left-wing groups (Greens/EFA, The Left, S&D) and various organisations (NGOs, professional associations, companies, etc.) sent a letter to the European Commission on Wednesday 31 March, calling on it not to extend the scope of the EU’s Renewable Energy Directive (RED II) (2018/2001) beyond renewables.
