MEPs call for ‘Research Fund for Coal and Steel’ to be consistent with Paris Agreement 

19/03/2021 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 18 March, members of the European Parliament’s Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE) adopted a compromise amendment covering the whole of the draft report by Cristian-Silviu Buşoi (EPP, Romania) on the proposed revision of the ‘Research Fund for Coal and Steel’ (FRCA -see EUROPE B12638A25, B12540A16). In line with the European Commission’s position, MEPs call for the Fund to be “consistent with the Paris Agreement”....
