Support in European Parliament for Stability Pact freeze extended until end of 2022

On Thursday, 4 March, the members of the European Parliament’s Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs welcomed the European Commission’s proposal to extend the freeze on the Stability and Growth Pact until the end of 2022, as long as growth in the European Union has not returned to its pre-Covid-19 level (see EUROPE B12670A1).
