EU pays €6 million to France after storm Alex

23/02/2021 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission announced on Tuesday 23 February that France would receive an advance from the EU Solidarity Fund (EUSF) to help the Member State and its regions cope with the damage wreaked by storm Alex in October 2020. The funds will cover part of the costs of emergency and recovery operations and will contribute to the restoration of public infrastructure that was damaged by the storm in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region.
